Bleach VS Naruto

bleach - the first arc of the story was nice. then it got worse.. then it started varying between erm... so so .
but from the reviews i got from the ppl i asked about the anime, they loved it. !! lol
yup i do too.
the title is misleading i think. the anime itself is about the death gods/ grim reapers if you will. saving those souls that's floating around in the cities by performing some sort of ritual to send them to soul society. something like a purgatory.
the hero of this series is a teenager kid who has kiddish father and 2 younger sisters.
his hair is orange. hence bleach ? not sure.. gotta verify this thing.. and i'm too lazy to read wiki.
he gains power ... and sets out for the adventure of a lifetime :D
the feeling that this series gives: I WANNA BE A HERO !!!! ya know ? those kind like rambo/spiderman .. etc.. but this is WAAAAAAAYYYYY coooler.

Naruto - slow paced. slow paced. slow paced. they can take like 3 eps to finish one story or something.. but then when u're watching it .. you won't feel like it's too slow unless watching it for the second time around. (i watched it like 2 times)
but the storyline is good up to eps 116++ ???
from there it was just fillers till the more grown up naruto series which is still ongoing.
story is about a ninja boy who is an outcast because he was an orphan and had some powerful nine tailed fox sealed in his body.
watch the antics of the boy as he tries his best to live his life to the fullest as well as the way he tries to attract attention(but stars of a series are usually supposed to do that aren't they ?). but ya .. as usual, he finds that he needs to gain more power to protect himself and therefore never seems to get enough power ..
and the more powerful he becomes.. the stronger his enemies become..
the feeling that this show gives: WOAH.. i'm a NINJA !!! hiyaaa !!! take that and that !! more power.. i just want that power of the nine tailed fox... lol

Full Metal Panic VS Escaflowne

escaflowne was one of the first anime i watched back in 2000 i think, could only get my hands on those vhs tapes that a friend of mine whose brother brought back from UK.
a girl gets transported to a faraway land with robots or something.. can't remmeber much about it.. but it was very nice.

what feeling did it give ? i still wanna go on those kind of adventures... where u go to a foreign land. no ones knows u and u are left to fend for yourself ? hmm i must watch this again.

Full metal panic or more lovingly known as FMP.
this is HILARIOUS !!! a 16 year old boy or something.. trained in the art of guerilla warfare with formal training in an organization akin to the navy seals.
sent to protect a girl who's head contains knowledge of hidden and futuristic plans which she herself don't really know. support is provided by a ass kicking woman sargeant, and a sniper who's hobby is girls.
watch this and watch the filler fumoffu as well as the FMP : The Second Raid...
i'd highly recommend this lol

Eureka Seven Vs Zegapain

what prompted me to come back to this blog with some info was that i was listening to some soundtrack of Eureka Seven by Sato Naoki - called the final wish.
i explained to my colleague that it sounded like a man/hero about to partake of the biggest fight/journey etc. of his life.
okok that has nothing to do with the title.

eureka seven. - it's like surfboards on steroids... again .. it's about a young boy(it seems that all the nice animes are about young boys / girls bah humbugs !!)
storyline is interesting enough when u watch it for those who like something like in the future and trying to make it in a small town and growing up overshadowed by the ghost of your father.
storyline gets better. and there's 2 cute coralian girls in the anime.
it gives riding off in the sunset feels like a whole new thing.

Zegapain. this title made me flinched. i didnt watch it for quite sometime.. cos it sounded corny. but due to the fact that i'm a very sci-fi futuristic inclined person, the moment i saw it had something to with like morphing in and out of some worlds had me hooked till the very end.
the robots were nice. more of a survival series than anything. but it has a similar storyline to the matrix.
i would watch again after a few years? : yes. months ? maybe...
the voiceover for the girl was pretty unique. not as high pitched but with a mellow sounding that just tingles.. :D it's the same with bokura ga ita. sometimes u like it.. sometimes u never like it..
the feeling felt when i was watching this anime : it gave me a feeling of it's a lonely anime. not sad.. but .. can't put my finger to it.. when i find out i'll edit this page.

Kimiga Nozomu Eien Vs Bokura ga ita

both drama and comedy but more towards a serious drama than your usual run of the mill love slapstick comedy.

kimiga nozomu eien- talk about love triangles .. this one just seems like the O.C/or whatever real series ( acted by humands ) i've seen but in anime form.
from school, graduation, working life... then towards the future. it's too bad it's such a short series. i would have liked watching it for more things that were not really explained. but i think some of it were made into the OVA or OAV or whatever that talks about akane, the girl's sister. i can't remember the names.. it was such a long time ago i watched it.
tissues needed: yes. ( optional for more hard hearted ppl) :P

Bokura ga ita.
ever been in school where u had ur crush and it turned out the good way, when u fell in love and then had all the fights, the arguments, the insecurities, the love, the fun, the heart-thumping fun that never cease. follow the love story from a girl's point of view. with her narrating the whole story. watch the anime.
drop a msg if u liked it. and lemme know what happened.

**the girl's voice is AMAZING for this anime. i've seen another anime.. it just somehow wasn't quite right. it was like the girl's voice was born just for this anime :P

makes me wanna go back to those carefree school days.. man... i should have listened to my parents and enjoyed school more. lol

2. dark mood (meaning it is not bright lol :P meaning it doesnt use bright colours in the anime)

1. Coolness factor: 10/10 ( too bad i've only seen 3 eps)

great show. i'd watch it again if i had all the eps.

Zone of the Enders Dolores,i VS Vandread I & II (2001)

ZOE or also known as Zone of the Enders Dolores
there's a robot. that distinctly somewhat reminded him of his wife.
1. old has-been. trying to make ends meet. his kids are on earth.
2. Reconciliation of family members. can't say i remmebre much about this anime. as i am typing it out from memory.
3. Coolness factor: 6/10
4. Ecchi-ness factor: 0 ?? it's some sort of space drama action ?
5. Storyline factor: 7/10
6. Lovey-dovey factor: 0/10 can't see any love between a man and his robot.

verdict: not that i'd recommend it but it's better than most other filler animes out there. but if there's nothing else to watch, this wouldn't be a bore.

Vandread I & II
i grouped them togehter even though vandread 1 is from the year 2000.
a planet of guys who has never seen girls? add in a few 3D robots piloted by girls. and a naive boy who thinks he's gonna save the world.
1. boy meets girl, boy is scared of girl, boy runs from girl, boy keeps running from girls.
2. funny. weird. and almost near impossible. but then again .. it IS anime.
3. Coolness factor: 8/10
4. Ecchi-ness factor: 7/10 ?? well.. it's like being let loose into a world of girls and u're still naive about what is that and what is THAT.
5. Storyline factor: 8/10 i would say it's different. couldn't stop watching this until i finished them.
6. Lovey-dovey factor: 5/10 a girl's love for an alien is undenyingly funny.

verdict: must watch for robot fans who is into comedic scenes of ecchiness once in a while. i still think it's too short. the series.
13 eps for season 1. and 13 for season 2.

S.C.R.Y.E.D VS Project ARMS (2001)

Action, Adventure, Science-Fiction

Scryed.
first anime i've ever watched apart from the time when i was a kid.
1. Loner hero. trying to protect his friend ?
2. talks about a guy who gains power in order to defeat the authority who was oppressing the so called outlaws.
3. Coolness factor: 8/10
4. Ecchi-ness factor: 0 ??
5. Storyline factor: 7/10
6. Lovey-dovey factor: 3/10 if u take into account, who he's fighting for.

verdict: it's the first anime i watched. and i would watch it again. :D
it's just about being a macho man in the world of power ups.
soundtrack's jazzy.


Project ARMS.
1. A boy who has his arm become something different than a normal limb.
2. against a large unknown organisation, he finds a few people friends with the same abilities.
3. Coolness factor: 5/10
4. Ecchiness factor: 0 !! these are all ACTION animes :P
5. Storyline factor: 8/10
6. Lovey-dovey factor: 3/10 he sorta likes the girl but he doesn't know it yet. :P

verdict: due to the fact that they had hidden abilities that had not been uncovered, this kept me watching it.
as well as the fact that the mystery had not been uncovered yet.
talks about friendship, teamwork, character building.
normal soundtrack i think.


Total verdict: both are a must watch. except that ARMS are better in the manga. i havent seen a scryed manga yet.
